What is Balloon Sinuplasty?
It is a simple, non-invasive procedure used to treat the symptoms of Chronic Sinusitis. Usually performed in-office, this procedure is a desirable alternative to surgery.
To begin the Balloon Sinuplasty procedure, your doctor will insert a small catheter device into your nasal passages. Once in place, the catheter will gently expand to open the sinus passages, allowing them to drain and bringing you relief from sinus pressure.
Sinus passages will then be flushed out with saline solution to clean out any remaining pus or mucus and ensure that your sinuses are completely clean from an existing sinus infection.
How can it help me?
If you suffer from Chronic Sinusitis and constantly suffer from sinus pressure and pain, this procedure will bring you relief. Balloon Sinuplasty drains your sinus passageways and relieves pressure.
After the procedure is complete, you will notice that sinus function is restored to normal. Drainage will occur naturally because all traces of infection have been removed during the Balloon Sinuplasty. You will be able to breathe clearly with no sinus obstruction.
Years of suffering and pain can be corrected so quickly that you can have the procedure done early in the morning and go back to normal work functions the same day.
