Developed a rat model of wound healing after laryngotraceal injury. Conducted of TGF b-1: effects on wound healing in the injury rat larynz. Principle Investigator: I.N. Jacobs, Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia

Conducted electro-physiologic measurements of EPSP produced by GLu-R-6 outside out patches adjacent to isolated amphibian hair cells active zones. Experience with cell culture techniques, whole cell and outside-out patch voltage clamp techniques, and isolated amphibian hair cell preparations. Principle Investigator: FJ Jaramillo, Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia.

Developed murine model for mucormycosis. Conducted preliminary trial of hyperbaric oxygen therapy and amphotericin B on model. Principle Investigator: J. Griswold, M.D., University of Mississippi

Analysis of liposome encapsulated 2-3 DPG and its ability to raise the p50 of intact red blood cells. Assisted D. Longnecker, University of South Alabama, 1987-1990.
